Ash Burnett
I’ve been tattooing for over six years now, but I’ve wanted to do this for as long as I can remember. I was about five when I first saw Kat Von D on TV and decided that was it, that was the job. I put it off for years because I was told I wouldn’t make it, but I’m very glad I didn’t listen.
I love working with colour, especially anything neo-traditional, cartoon-inspired, anime or nature based. Give me animals, florals, something a bit geeky or sci-fi and I’m happy. That said I’m an all-rounder and comfortable working across different styles, from smaller delicate pieces to larger, more detailed work. For me, it’s less about fitting into one box and more about creating something that feels right for you.
Co-founding Sacred Fury was really important to me. I wanted to help build a space that feels safe, calm and genuinely welcoming - somewhere people can relax and feel looked after. It also means a lot to be able to create a working environment that’s loving, supportive and fun to be part of. Seeing someone smile at their finished tattoo will always be my favourite part of this job.
Outside of tattooing I’m always making something (oil painting, music, coding little projects, cooking) or just finding new ways to be creative. I’m slightly obsessed with While She Sleeps (I was lucky enough to be in one of their music videos), I have a very fluffy cat called Lyra, and I will never say no to pasta, chocolate or anything sugary. I love travelling, nature, and art in all its forms - from classical painters like Rembrandt to modern tattoo culture.
If you book in with me, expect colour, good chats, probably a bit of nerdy enthusiasm and a tattoo
made with a lot of care.
